Telelogic Products using Date Based Licensing, what is that?

0

As of TLS (Telelogic Lifecycle Solution) Release May 2007, all Telelogic products are licensed using datebased license mechanism. A datebased license key has the maintenance expiration date (Subscription and Support Date) inbuilt in the feature line and works as the license version of each feature. When receiving your maintenance renewal order e-mail you need to enter LICENSE KEY CENTER and upgrade your license key and regenerate the key towards the new maintenance renewal order, this will update your license key. Most of the Datebased licenses are backward compatible and can be used for earlier versions as long as nothing else has changed (like the feature name). Maintenance expiration date = License Feature Version The Products in the same release use the same required license version (date of issue) Example: 2007.0515 (software release date May 15th 2007) Example 1 – Permanent License – this key is Permanent with the maintenance expiration date as of 31 March, 2009.
