Yes the story is real. Terri Fuller gave up her son for adoption 32 years ago. She has been looking for him for the last 17 years. One of her efforts was to create a MySpace profile saying she was looking for her son, a typo led her to misspell his name as “Haver.” Luckily while googling his own name, Hawver also had a typo and found Fuller’s MySpace. He responded with this message: “Hi, I’m Rustin Hawver, H-A-W-V-E-R. I think I’m the one you’re looking for that you want to meet.
