The bank said I needed a tax release from the Auditors office for my checking and/or savings account(s). What do I do now?

Estate Tax Form #12 needs to be completed and signed in our office. Accounts of $2,500 or less in the decedent’s name only or held jointly with anyone other than a spouse do not require a release. Accounts held jointly with a surviving spouse do not need a release if the date of death was on or after October 1, 1996.
