The beneficiary is a minor, who needs to complete the paperwork?

0

The minor beneficiary’s state of residence is used to determine any dollar amount restrictions that apply to their receipt of assets in the estate settlement process. If the minor beneficiary is inheriting below the state designated amount, the settlement paperwork must be completed by an adult member of the minor’s family or a trust company. If the minor is inheriting more than the state designated amount, a guardian for the estate of the minor may need to be appointed by the probate court. If you do not know the designated amounts, please call (800) 862-7919, select Option five, then Option one.
