We have many of the same customs and courtesies as the U.S. military. We also have a similar rank structure. Instead of working for ‘managers’ or ‘team leaders’, you will work for a Sergeant. A Corporal generally assists our Sergeants. Our troop offices and districts are lead by Captains and Majors. Our four regions are led by Lt. Colonels, and our Chief is a Colonel. This also means our academy training is unique. It is a ‘boot camp’ environment, but not to the degree experienced by members of the military. You will experience a significant emotional event on Day One of the academy, and throughout the 22 weeks you will be instilled with a great deal of confidence and ‘military discipline’. This is also a professional environment; all of our members are treated fairly.
