If you only want to synchronize PocketRetriever, it’s easy to speed up the process–turn off the other conduits. From the desktop, use HotSync Manager: • Click once on the HotSync Manager icon in the Windows task bar. • Select Custom from the pop-up menu. • Click once on a conduit to highlight, then click the Change button. • Click the radio button marked “Do Nothing”. • Click OK. • Repeat for each conduit. (except PocketRetriever) • Click Done when you have set all conduits to “Do Nothing”. The next time you perform a HotSync operation, only PocketRetriever will be synchronized, then these settings will revert back to the default for each conduit. From the handheld, use the HotSync program: Note these settings will only apply when you are running a modem/cell phone HotSync. It will not affect a Local HotSync. • Tap the applications button. • Tap the HotSync icon. • Tap the Menu button and select Conduit Setup from the Options menu. • Uncheck the box for each conduit.
