A. The IRAS software uses several Windows files with file extensions of .dll and .ocx. These files are registered in the computer’s registry with a utility called regsvr32.exe. If for some reason regsvr32.exe has been removed from the computer, relocated to a different directory or if some of the installed .dll and .ocx files have been corrupted during the RAS install process, the IRAS software will be unable to properly register the files it needs to operate properly. The solution will be to first determine if the file REGSVR32.exe is located on the computer, by searching for ‘files and folders’. If found, then make note of the directory where it resides. At this point the “PATH” must be checked to ensure the regsvr32.exe file is located in one of the valid PATH directories. The PATH may be checked by entering the DOS prompt and typing PATH and hitting the enter key.
