By far, secondhand smoke is the largest source of indoor air pollution. Scores of air quality testing reports have shown more than 90% reductions in particulate matter pollution after implementation of smoke-free ordinances. Unlike other sources, indoor air pollution from secondhand smoke can be very easily eliminated and without need of expensive and ineffective ventilation or air filtration systems by simply implementing a smoke-free policy.
