There are columns labeled NAICS code, and 3 digit NAICS. What is the difference?

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) uses up to a 6 digit number to reference a specific industry (e.g. 334119, Other Computer Peripheral Manufacturing). A 3 digit number (e.g. 334, Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing) refers to a less specific industry group. In other words, NAICS 334119 would be contained in NAICS 334, along with other electronic product manufacturers. A search by the 3 digit NAICS may be more likely to provide companies that aren’t in the exact industry you’re looking for, but are similar.
