This Gen Ed course says it has prerequisites. Whats a prerequisite?
If a Gen Ed course (or any other course, for that matter) has a prerequisite, it means that there are certain requirements that you must complete before taking that course. Sometimes the prerequisite is a specific course. For example, before a student can take PSYCH 221 (GS) Introduction to Social Psychology, he or she must first complete PSYCH 100 (GS) Introductory Psychology. Sometimes the prerequisite is more than one course. For example, before a student can take BIOL 240W (GN) Biology: Function and Development of Organisms, he or she must first complete both BIOL 110 (GN) and CHEM 110 (GN). Sometimes the prerequisite can be one of several different courses. For example, before a student can take ECON 333 (GS) International Economics, he or she must first complete ECON 002 (GS) or ECON 004 (GS) or ECON 014 (GS) just one of those courses, not all three. Sometimes a prerequisite is having a particular semester standing. For example, before a student may take PHIL 124 (GH) Introductio
