Was Mao Zedong an emperor?
I agree with the above. Mao fought against Chiang Kai Shek for power in post WW2 China. Chiang fled to the island of Formosa, which became Taiwan & is now called Taipei. Mao became all powerful in Peking, now Beijing, and was supported by the Russians. When Mao died he was succeded by his wife, Jaing Qing, one of the so called gang of four, who were in turn overthrown by Deng Xioping.
