There may have been others before her (Rhodope is mentioned in one story and at times Eros and Ganymede are portrayed as “playmates”), but Psyche (soul) is pretty much THE girl for Eros (love). He even stood up to his mother for her. My understanding is that Psyche was granted immortality and ever-lasting youth upon their marriage.
