Was woman pushed into car in Barnham?
Police investigating a report of a woman being pushed into a car in Barnham are trying to establish whether the incident is genuine. At 9.29pm on Thursday (September 23) a 999 call was received reporting that a young female had been seen being pushed into a small yellow vehicle outside flats in Foxes Croft. The woman was described as white with mid-length mousy brown hair, wearing a black jacket and possibly, tight-fitting dark leggings. The car was similar in size and shape to a small Fiat. Det Sgt Ceri Spratt from Arun CID said: “The call came from a genuine witness, but we need to establish whether this young lady was really forced into the car against her will or if it was just an innocent prank. Similarly, it may well have been that the circumstances were just misread by the witness.
