MP: Slave Zero is designed for a third person perspective. In first person you’d lose the sense of scale, which is a huge part of gameplay. There was great emphasis on developing a character with incredible animation, again, this would be lost in first person. There is a first person option in the game, but the game has been designed, tuned, and balanced for the 3rd person viewpoint. IGNPC: Slave Zero is very agile for a giant robot with his ability pull himself up from edges and his jet-powered strafing. Where there any thoughts about expanding that to flying? MP: We did consider flying but eventually decided against it. We felt it would detract from the gameplay and the mission layouts. Graphics IGNPC: What graphics engine was used for Slave Zero? MP: Slave Zero has been created using the Ecstasy Engine. The tools, renderer and game code are all part of the Ecstasy Engine. Slave Zero is the first product to use this engine.
