What Acting Talent Agency is Better (In toronto)?

ACTRA is not an agency. It is the union to which TV and film actors belong. ACTRA sets out rules such as conditions on set, and how much actors are paid. The Toronto Academy of Acting is also not an agency. It is a school that offers classes and workshops. I’m not familiar with this school, but I notice that they don’t post their “tuition” on their website, so it is probably very expensive. I do know a lot of working actors in the TO area, and none of them have gone to this school. Working actors tend to take private or semi-private coaching, rather than attending such schools. It is a talent agent’s job to find auditions for the actors on their rosters, and to negotiate their contracts. ACTRA Toronto has an excellent website, with information on getting into the business. They also have a list of reputable agents in Ontario, and a list of agents to avoid. http://www.actratoronto.com/ Read the “become a performer” section.
