These are lure coursing trials sponsored by the American Kennel Club and held in accordance with AKC Lure Coursing rules and regulations. In September of 1991 the AKC began its own program of Lure Coursing as a sport under the guidance of Dean Wright, a long time promoter of ASFA lure coursing events.
