What are ancillary fees?
Ancillary fees are fees levied above and beyond tuition fees. The Ministry of Colleges, Training and Universities (MCTU) establishes a policy outlining how an Ontario College may levy fees, and for what purpose the fee can be levied. After the MCTU enacts their policy, each Ontario College must then issue its own local protocol. Each Ontario College’s local ancillary fee protocol must be approved by the Student Government – SCSU. At Sault College ancillary fees are proposed, deleted, revised and renewed by the Sault College Ancillary Fee Committee. This committee meets during the academic year, and requires student volunteers to help make up its membership.If you would like to get involved with the Committee – feel free to email SCSU and tell us.
