What are CSEG, CRMI and CNAME?
The ‘C’ references the Northwest Power Planning Council. The Council had acquired anadromous fish data on thousands of stream reaches not found in the EPA’s RF2 database. The Council expanded their tabular reach database to incorporate these additional reaches. Each new reach was assigned a unique (Council) SEG number, stream name and river mile. Some confusion still exists over duplicate reach codes. EPA released their enhanced RF2.5 files using reach code numbers the same as some added by the Council but these were placed on different streams. Both sets of reach codes exist in the PNW reach files.
