What are FPTs current administrative vs. program cost ratios and how are those projected to change?
FPTs current administrative costs are 100% of its expenses, because all program work (apart from AGLI) is done by numerous hours of volunteer effort. Volunteer hours are estimated to be over 500 hours annually. AGLIs administrative costs in the U.S. are 16% of their total budget. In Africa, project administrators also do project work and it is difficult to calculate these costs. In both cases, program costs are lower than expected due to the donation of many volunteer hours, and significant searching for the least expensive way to carry out the work. An example is that when workcampers travel to Africa, they stay with local families, rather than in hotels that cater to foreign delegations.
