What are hackers after?
Hackers come in all ages, size, experience, and combination you can imagine. However, I can easily classify four categories of hackers. 1) Script Kiddies: Usually just getting started in hacking, and grab any kind of software or tool that helps them crack into others computers. They are dangerous because they usually don’t understand what they are doing. In attempts to “cover their tracks”, they many times destroy important data. 2) Young Hacker: Much more experienced and knowledgeable, but still learning the tricks of the trade. Can easily access most unprotected systems quickly. Hacking many times is a game of just how many systems can you crack, then onto the next harder system, learning as you go. They are dangerous for three reasons; lacking in knowledge, destructive ambitions, and looking for the quick pick (credit card numbers, registration data, etc.) 3) Experienced Hacker: Experienced in getting though even very tough security restrictions, very ambitious, and determined.
