what are headphones for cell phones called not headsets but like ear buds?
They’re called headphones. There are a zillion different kinds depending on how much you want to spend and how much quality you are willing to pay for. I have about a dozen sets ranging from cheapo ones that came with cheap players to $200.00 noise canceling phones that I use on planes. They all work with cell phones (I have a Palm Treo 650) although you may need an adapter (costs 3 or 4 bucks) for the plug depending on what size the plug on your phone is.
