What are IN PROCESS or MISSING items?

IN PROCESS items are the items that have just arrived the Library and not yet ready for use. When an item is reported missing from its filing position its status will be changed to MISSING. The Library has a timetable for searching all MISSING items. If an item cannot be found after numerous searches, the Library will consider purchasing a replacement copy.
