A – JPEG, Bitmap, and GIF are the file names designating different image types (depending on certain traits that they possess). JPEGs are compressed differently than Bitmaps so they take less space on a disk or server and some GIFs are animated, that is, they move! All three types of image files can be inserted into your web page.
