What are low-impact dyes?
Low-impact, fiber-reactive dyes used by our manufacturer are petroleum-based, synthetic dyes with a higher than average absorption rate than natural dyes (plants, minerals, animal based). This means less water is required in the rinse process and less dye runs off in the water. They contain no heavy metals (chrome, copper, zinc) and do not require toxic chemical mordants to fix them to the fiber.
