Magazines are collected, baled and taken to a paper mill where they are mixed with hot water and turned into pulp. The pulp is screened for contaminants, cleaned, often de-inked and bleached, and then made into new paper products. Magazines are recycled into items such as food/gift boxes (boxboard), tissue paper, game boards, and greeting cards.
