What are some causes of illegal immigration in the U.S.?
First, I’ll indicate that I’m making an assumption…you don’t really need me to devle into the root causes for why people want to immigrate to the US…we all understand it’s about seeking a better life, economically, politically, fleeing oppression, poverty or what not for the most part. Sure there are other reasons, but most people who come here illegally are fleeing something unpleasant…in other words, if you’re going to uproot your life and move to a strange country that is officially hostile to your presence, you have to figure that the alternative of staying put is worse. So, why do they do it illegally? That is a core question that is first and foremost in the minds of many. I too used to wonder, well, why don’t you just fill out the papers, take the proper steps, go through the proper channels and get your green card or whatever.
