What Are “Structural” and “Non-Structural” Changes?
Structural changes to your website means modifications that change the layout (the structure itself) of your website. This means changes in your website’s design, addition of pages, modifying navigation, changing basic design, graphic elements, formats, etc. A non-structural change includes items that do not change the layout of your website, such as text changes, swapping photos and images, minor text additions or removals, and the like. Non-structural changes are covered in a maintenance and update contract, while structural changes require additional custom design services charged separately. Though some changes constitute structural changes, such as adding pages to accommodate recent news about your company, etc., we can normally provide it for you as part of a non-structural change and it can be covered in one of our maintenance and update contract options.
