Perhaps Emmylou Harris said it best: “If America could sing with one voice, it would be Willie’s.” I caught on to Willie Nelson music because of my Dad, Granddaddy, and Papaw’s influence in music. Plus – I love Elvis Presley, so Always on my mind really stands out as one of Willie’s very best. And Faron Young sang “Hello Walls” and really put Willie on the map. “Crazy” by Patsy Cline is another great song! Let me go ahead and list the ones I think are his top ten. Most of the songs, though, were made famous by Willie Nelson himself. He is an incredible example of talent when it comes to singing, writing, and everything you might think of.
