What are the advantages in using “External Hard Drive?””
An external hard drive has a wonderful advantage–it can act as insurance in case something happens to your computer’s internal hard drive. If you’ve backed everything up on your external hard drive, you can simply re-install what you need to your computer. They are easy to use and can hold a LOT of stuff! They just plug in to your USB port on your computer, and then you can move files back and forth all you want. In addition, it gives you much more storage space than might be on your computer; depending on the size of the hard drive, you can store thousands and thousands of large files, like photographs and music or movies or whatever else you want to retain. I save all my photos on my external hard drive, plus the high resolution scans of my art work that I submit for licensing. The scans are huge and would quickly fill up my computer hard drive, so it’s great to have this additional storage place.
