What are the advantages of the CATI PM system?
The advantages of this measurement technique are as follows: i. Superior detection limit and large measurement range (from ambient air concentrations to well visible smoke, or about four to five orders of magnitude). ii. Capability of real-time measurement (at least one data point each second). iii. No detectable effect from movement and vibration (i.e. hard accelerations and braking, off-road driving) on the measurement. iv. No sample is stored, so the instrument is capable of continuous operation for a long period of time (the longest measurement to date was 14 hours). v. Compact, lightweight, low power consumption. vi. The data is available immediately, in the field. vii. Easy installation, inherently safe system.
