What are the advantages of the Synergistic Power Line Conditioner incorporating coils/inductors?
The inclusion of inductors in power-line conditioning utilizes one of the most significant aspects of the device: its inherent ability to resist change. By definition, an inductor stores energy within a magnetic field. It is this energy-storage ability that we want, particularly, in a passive power-line conditioner that is able to resist the onslaught of fluctuating line voltages as much as possible. Another inherent quality often overlooked regarding the inductor is its ability to slow down transients. Again, by virtue of its need to resist change, this coil of wire not only ensures greater control of the transient suppression techniques employed, but also ensures maximum reliability of the suppression elements themselves. The Synergistic Power Line Conditioner utilizes eight such inductors, strategically located to maximize transient suppression and to minimize line losses.
