Besides regular fulltime Emily Carr students there are professionals, people with other obligations or restraints who find it too difficult to travel to a face-to-face classroom and find online learning advantageous. Online courses also allow you to work independently and absorb material at your own pace, but still offer a great deal of personal contact with your classmates and professor. Students report an excellent level of interaction with their professor and encounter a diverse group of students.

Enrolling in an online law school allows for far greater flexibility and convenience than in a traditional program at a fixed facility; e-learners do not have to put their lives on hold for several years. The biggest benefit of online learning is that you can work to earn your degree from your own home while raising a family, working full-time or experiencing particular life circumstances that make commuting to campus difficult or impossible.
