What are the best process, methods, tips, tricks, and suggestions for the creation of a compelling Missiom Statement?
I am struggling with the creation of a Mission Statement for a particular venture. Do any of you have any suggestions, tips, methods and processes that you can share for distilling a business model down into a compelling Mission Statement. A friend shared what he said was the Mission Statement for AOL for years, and I found it to be very strong; “At AOL, our mission has always been to build a global medium as central to people’s lives as the telephone and the television…and even more valuable”. I am looking forward to your input and will definitely mark any answers as good, or the best, that in fact are (imho).
