What are the definitions of custodial and noncustodial parent?
Please note that for the purposes of the U.S. Department of Education and Bryn Mawr College institutional financial aid, the following definitions of “parent or legal guardian” are necessary: Custodial Parent: Parent within whose household the student resides more than 50 percent of the current year. Noncustodial Parent: Parent within whose household the student resides less than 50 percent of the current year.
