What are the desert climates?
Depends on the desert There are tropical, subtropical, temperate and cold deserts Most deserts lie in the subtropical belts at about 30 degrees North and south of the equator. Those are probably the deserts you are thinking of. Deserts tend to be dry year round, though they might have a bit more precipitation in season compared to the others, the season varies, it all depends on the desert and on which part of the desert as well. Winters are usually warm during the day and cold at night. Spring and fall are both very warm but cooler at night. And summers can be dangerously hot in the day and warm at night. The first answerer was wrong about deserts having low pressure. I think he meant high pressure. Low pressure is conduce to producing clouds and precipitation. High pressure makes cloud formation rather difficult and almost impossible for precipitation. High pressure systems often predominate in deserts.
