What are the Educational Issues of the Climate Gate Scandal?
The first and most obvious educational issue coming from the Climate Gate Scandal is whether we should teach children that global warming is a theory or a fact. Republicans from the U.S. Congress have read some of the emails, and feel that experts’ claims about global warming now need to be re-examined. The e-mails show suppression, manipulation and secrecy, according to U.S. Representative James Sensenbrenner, a Republican from Wisconsin who is investigating the Climate Gate Scandal. Universities and Politicians Involved in the Climate Gate Scandal The second reason that Climate Gate involves education is because emails leaked from scientists came from U.S. universities. In addition to the emails by Holdren (the Harvard researcher turned presidential advisor), there are also emails by Penn State University researcher, Michael Mann.
