What are the functions of the ULF?
The ULF is primarily a family support group that offers much help with problems of the family from medical to coping. It is also deeply involved in research; working closely with many physicians and scientists throughout the world. Educational activities and resources are extensively provided. Timely and professionally prepared articles are published in the ULF NEWS (published quarterly), and an annual conference is sponsored which offers direct contact between professionals and families. The ULF maintains a 24 hour hot line (1-800-728-5483) and has available an extensive library of printed materials as well as video materials.
