What are the Long term effects on javelin throwing?
An accomplished jevelin thrower would not usually be interested in developing large massive muscles like a shot putter or hammer thrower. Technique and speed are equally important in this event. Almost every part of the body is used during the throw. Long term effects frequently results in injury: *Rotator cuff muscles-strained shoulder from rotation. *Elbow: Sprains develop if form is not proper. *Anterior cruciate ligament: From constant weight put on “planting” leg. *Overuse (Overtraining) injury: Torn muscle fibers, especially in immature tissues.
