What are the neurological symtoms of black horse fly bites to horses?
Horses will find Black Horse Fly bites painful and intensely irritating. They can act like they have neurological signs if they are bothered enough like swaying, shaking, shivering etc. but if it is a Black Horse Fly the damage is limited to small skin reactions. If your horse is showing neurological signs the flies are likely to be just a coincidence. There are many severe neurological diseases in horses. If you are concerned I would get a vet out to your horse.
