Defining the middle-class is very difficult. About 80% of Americans claim to be a part of the middle class! Jobs such as clerical workers, service-industry workers, teachers, nurses, and even some doctors and lawyers. White-collar workers are professionals who usually have a college degree or higher education. Business professionals, lawyers, accountants, etc. They will have salaries in the top 20% of Americans. Perhaps an average of $80,000 and into the millions! Young urban professionals are white-collar workers who are just starting out! They make good money, but not the insanely high salaries that their bosses do. They will be the bosses one day if they do well.
