What are the odds of printed newspapers resigning from the media?

If, as Andrew surmises, the question is about the future of print media and specifically newspapers, my thoughts are that they will continue to have a tough time and many will shut their doors. What was a fabulously profitable industry is being hammered by the mass of information that is now online (with marketers following the people who are following the information). The newspaper I used to work for could (and still does, for now) charge thousands of dollars for a single ad in a single issue. Online though, they can’t charge anywhere near the same. They need much higher readership: tricky if much of a newpaper’s website is focused on local content.

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
