What are the options for TIP connecting to TransACT?
• There are three main options for TIP in relation to TransACT: • The “status quo” option, i.e. no change to TIP’s existing arrangements. Our servers would remain at the PCUG Centre at Northpoint Plaza, and connection to TIP would remain via 56k modem dialup service. Connection via TransACT would only be possible via a dialup modem call (charged at TransACT’s call rates) or via another ISP providing TransACT broadband access. • The “narrowband” option. This would involve TIP relocating our servers to TransACT House in Dickson, and continuing to provide 56k dialup modem access only.
