To increase access to anti-retrovirals in the developing and emerging economies, Boehringer Ingelheim has also participated in initiatives with other organisations, such as: • Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) • AIDS Health Care Foundation (AHF) • Community Health and Information Network (CHAIN) • International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers’ Unions (ICEM): HIV/AIDS Workplace Programme in India Furthermore, Boehringer Ingelheim is running different training activities, for example • the Boehringer Ingelheim Facilitation and Training Centre in Botswana, • training for health staff in Papua New Guinea, • technology transfer by training of East African pharmaceutical technicians.
