What are the post-operative restrictions?
The day of the procedure, you are requested to rest as much as possible. You will use antibiotic eye drops for a week and anti-inflammatory for two weeks. Rubbing your eyes is not allowed for a month and you should avoid it for six months. You can practice your favorite sport if you wear special glasses or goggles. Avoid make-up for a month.
After the procedure, you will go home and are advised to keep both eyes closed for 2 hours and rest as much as possible. You will be placing a protective shield over your eyes at night for one week. It is recommended that you abstain from going swimming for a week following surgery. You will be using antibiotic eye drops for one week.
