What are the precautions one should take after an IVF procedure?
A. The procedure demands no special precautions, but strenuous activity should be avoided. We advise the patients to be mentally and physically relaxed as much as possible. You can return to work if you wish, but first prefer to have a few days rest. Inadequate blood sugar control: DCCT showed that intensive blood sugar control lowers the incidence by 35.74%. • Hypertension: Systolic and diastolic hypertension, primary, secondary in nature worsens proliferative and non–proliferative diabetic retinopathy. • Genetic factors: Few genetic factors are predisposing for diabetic retinopathy.
