What are the prerequisites for the California real estate license exam?

Before you can obtain your license, you must first must complete an on-line course called Principles of Real Estate and second, qualify for and pass the State of California Real Estate License Exam. The Principles course involves a booklet and an open-book 30 (or so) question on-line exam. The exam could be completed within less than hour; however, the DRE requires 18 days from the time of signing up for Principles until the time that you take the on-line exam. Interestingly, after signing up for Principles, you can immediately sign up to take the DRE State exam. As a note, you may want to wait until you finish the 18-day Principles course, print out the certificate and send that in with your DRE Exam Application. Another note here is that two additional on-line courses and exams will have to be completed within 18 months of obtaining a license. You may want to complete thoses two additional courses, print out the certificates and send it all in to the DRE along with your application t
