Georgias Lemon Law allows for a manufacturer to replace the vehicle or repurchase the vehicle. Manufacturers and dealers generally prefer replacement; you should get the same vehicle or an equivalent, and should not be charged any money incidental to a sale (warranty, loan fees, etc.). When a refund is made, the Lemon Law requires a manufacturer or dealer to pay the motor vehicles full purchase price and refund all incidental charges associated with the purchase. Both remedies allow the manufacturer to charge a reasonable allowance for the consumers use of the vehicle. Refunds must be made to the consumer and lien holder, if any.
