What are the requirements for a Library card?
Library cards are issued to patrons aged five and older who are residents of Cabarrus and Rowan Counties. Parents or legal guardians must sign for children aged 15 or younger. Before issuing a card, the Library requires proof of identity and residence. Preferred identification is a North Carolina Motor Vehicle Operators License or I.D. card with current address. Other forms of identification accepted are voter registration card or social security card plus one of the following: current telephone bill, current utilities bill, or a checkbook showing current address. A non-resident card is available at an annual fee of $ 10.00 per year.
