What are the signs and symptoms of TMJ Disorders?
Disorders of the TMJ have many signs and symptoms including the following: (1) Certain types of headaches or neckaches, (2) Pain in and around the ear, sometimes spreading to the face, (3) Tenderness of the jaw muscles or popping noise when one opens or closes the mouth, (4) Difficulty in opening one’s mouth, (5) Jaws that lock, and/or (6) Pain brought on by yawning, chewing, or opening the mouth widely.
