What are the similarities and differences between Puritans and Pilgrims?
The pilgrims that came to the Americas were also separatists and did not want to follow the Anglican Church. So, religiously, the pilgrims were different from the Puritans. The Puritans wanted to reform the Anglican Church but the pilgrims wanted break off from them completely. So when the Pilgrims had invited some Puritans on board the ship to the Americas, the Mayflower Compact had been signed.
